Apart from that, we also straighten some of the known electronic and mechanical flaws and error areas during our refurbishing process, so your newly bought pinball machine will be more reliable, play better and last longer. Of course, we can, and do for some customers, always leave it per factory specs, it's entirely up to you.

In our opinion successfuly matching flipper bat colors with an overal game color greatly enhances its visual appeal. For example on Indiana Jones, factory flipper bat color is white. Since so much of the playfield is dominated with lighter colors such as orange and deep yellows, either black or yellow flipper bats would look great on that title. We can also add a printed decal with the game's logo on top of flipper bats.

Suggested combinations with this game are:
Yellow flipper bats with red flipper rubber rings
Black Flipper bats with yellow rubber rings
Orange flipper bats with black rubber rings

These translucent buttons are not always available.

Pretty neat idea, but these targets are way too fragile for the rigors of commercial pinball use, so they brokeoften. Prior to refurbishing the target was completely broken and glued & hacked. Of course it was replaced with a brand new repro but I couldn't resist to spike it up a bit and install green LED lights inside instead of factory red. The result is cooler, sharper, better and more colorful looking playfield.

Player Piano custom mod - Twilight Zone's jackpot shot is called a Piano shot. When made, there is a graphic and music of a piano playing on the screen. Apart from an image of piano on the playfield, there is nothing else resembling it. But! Add a realistic-looking piano over the piano jackpot shot! It comes preformed for the 2 light bulbs already on the playfield. Now, you can have a TRUE "Piano" shot.

Brass Slot Machine custom mod - Add a slot machine over the slot machine scoop shot! There are 2 varietis of the slot machine. Brass and Gold. Slot machine shot is one of the most important on this game. THe design of the mounted slot machine and the one depicted ont he game playfield and translite artwork closely resemble each other. A fine and unobstructive addition to thegame.

Gold or Brass Slot Machine custom mod - Add a gold slot machine over the slot machine scoop shot! Both brass and gold slot machines look exactly like depicted on the game translite artwork.

Custom Neon lights added to the back of the machine! Blue, Pink or Red looks best, while white and green are a color mismatch for this game. Out of all of them, most probably blue neon glow gives the best "feel" for the game.

Custom Clock modifications - To see why and what it is, please click here. Very important to do on every Twilight Zone clock. Short of buying a brand new clock board (70$ and up), this effective and cheap addition can help immensely.

Custom Rocket add-on modification - Add a flashing rocket ship atop the rocket kickout! One of our least favorite mods and additions, but people like it, for some reason. The rocket has a flasher built into the tail. Sorta-kinda resembles the playfield artwork rocket.

Custom gumballs in a Gumball machine addition - make your gumball machine look like a real one! We load every machine we sell with them.

Custom designed circuit board with LED lights illuminating Gumball Machine add-on - Custom made circuit board will illuminate and flash inside the gumball machine, as this area is pretty dark in a factory designed game. An awesome addition to your Twilight Zone! It is designed and connected to correspond to appropriate flashing playfield light. When the Gumbal machine starts flashing, it's time to make the shot to load it!

Custom light bulb caps illuminating inlanes addition - Perfect addition to everygame - multicolored light bulb covers spread different colored lights around adding to the overal mood! This is one of most requested, easiest and very effective yet subtle ways to add some uniqueness to your pinball machine.

Custom Neon light in the topper. A new awesome addition to your machine. Your choice of colors are blue, white, red, green and purple. This picture shows blue neon installed for a customer.

Custom made crystal clear reproduction ramp. Brand new reproduction ramps are available, and they are see-through, crystal clear, as opposed to original "smokey" darkened ramps (these reproductions are available as well).

LED lights added to creepy creatures in topper (in their eyes). They could be made to be lit at all times, or to light up when certain features in the game are achieved.

Custom audio high fidelity speakers - for enhanced audio experience.

Custom electronics work on magnets underneath the playfield to prevent failure. This is quite common on the Addams pinball and ultimately could lead to browning (or burning) your playfield.

NCC Enterprise lit up ship custom addition. An exact replica of the NCC Enterprise mounted onto the playfield.

Bird Of Prey lit up ship custom addition. Customized Bird of Prey with blinking lights, more detailed and a bigger ship than the original.

Chrome Borg ship lit with fluorescent green lights from inside - custom addition. The Borg ship lights up in bright green when the multiball starts, when jackpot is scored, during Final Frontier Wizard mode and during the post - game light show. It makes it look more realistic with bright green lights and chrome, the way it looks on the TV show.

Bird of Prey custom addition - a vidid colors, more detailed, slightly bigger Bird of Prey can be added to the playfield to enhance the look of the game, making it even more unique. A set o small LED lights is added to the Bird of Prey and the lights blink throughout the game for even more added effect!

Chrome cannon domes custom addition. To complete the chrome look of the Borg ship. A set of decals with "Slpha Quadrant" logo artwork is added to them for even more customized look.

Shaker motor custom mod! A shaker motor could be installed in a machine (not just Star Trek The Next Generation but virtually any pinball machine we sell). It is a hi powered motor with a counter-balance weight attached on one side. When the weight spins, the whole machine vibrates and "shakes", hence the term shaker motor...
A custom designed board is installed in the cabinet (required to power the shaker motor). it is then wired into the existing game circuirty. No other modifications are done to the machine, just tapping into what is already there. When certain features int he game are achieved, the motor activates - the whole game shakes and rumbles.

Laser Pointed Cannons custom addition - an absolute must! Improve your accuracy when firing the cannons with custom laters built into the brand new cannon domes.

Shuttle ship lit up on top of the ramp custom addition. LED lights added to the small shuttle ship that light up whenever the ramp shot should be made.

Neutral Zone scoop hole protector addition. Neutral Zone gets a lot fo play and the custom metal protector will protect from any other playfield wear.

Special bloopers software with sound bits from the sound recording sessions during the game design (all 7 crew members) that never made it into the production pinball machine could be installed at customer request.

Borg Cube installed next to the Borg ship (custom addition). Borg Cube could be powered with its own motor and would spin whenever the Delta Ramp shot is made. (Out of stock).

We installed:

Theatre of Magic has been customized for the animated Tiger Saw and has been upgraded to 1.4 latest software which automatically controlls and spins the saw when certain features are achieved.

This feature (software controlled Tiger Saw has been present on the prototype machines but has been dropped from the production. Custom made software by the game programmer (1.4 version) puts the spinning saw back into the game: Parts needed are: a motor, new Security chip, new 1.4 version chip, EMI board and some extra hardware.

Lost Plastic custom addition

Custom lights circuit board for illuminating Lost Plastic. It will never be obscured again, but well lit and prominently featured in the back of the playfield.

Gold painting for Mayan Idol. It brings the true colors shinning and the Idol truly looks golden.

Under the playfield illumination of Start mode shot. It gives the eerie glow, through the Start the modes hole.

Green movie marquee blinking lights on the main ramp - our most requested addition when buying the Creature From The Black Lagoon machine! This effect is simply way cool. This pinball machine is one of the most stunning ones to look at the way it came from the factory, it's even cooler with these modifications below.

Neon Lights illuminating the backboard graphic. I elected to do pink neon or the deep orange neon since the backboard graphic is predominantly orange (simulating a sunset in the swamps, with Creature head peering out of the water and the boat "Rita" moored).

Custom Green flipper buttons. Either rich opaque green or translucent lighted from the inside of cabinet green looks great on this machine and fits the whole "grren theme" we are going for like a glove.

Green movie marquee blinking lights on the bowl ramp - just accentuating and furthering the effect from the curly main ramp to the green bowl (used with the JACKPOT shot). That way the whole thing visually fits together and it looks uniform and appropriate.

Creature From The Black Lagoon custom apron cards - your own custom design! We combined the Creature limbs as they appeared on the flyer, and we combined film tape with the Creature Hologram shinning through it and appearing inside the actual film tape squares. Creature From The Black Lagoon is most definitely Top 5 machine for its looks - it sure is really pretty just to look at, as well for its playalbility and collectability.

Customized add-on decals for the snackbar targets -are these guys cool or what? We get the Soda (in the menus this light is called "Cola", but it sure looks like a milkshake to me! Either way, it looks yummy), Hotdog, Ice Cream Cone and Popcorn! Yum! The playfield artwork has been transfered professionaly to the custom decals for the targets, so when the player achieves "Mega Menu" mode it helps while playing, and it looks much better. The target decals itself are printed on high quality vinyl and are heavily laminated for extra protection and years of trouble-free service.

Custom painted coin door with Creature From The Black Lagoon fluorescent green logo addition. An awesome addition to the machine is a Creature From The Black Lagoon green glow in the dark fluorescent logo - airbrushed in by a professional airbrush artist - coming soon...

KISS and Lips inserts are glowing with a strong, deep, rich pink, as opposed to just dull clear see-through. It enhances the Lips and Kiss letters effect and gives a great illumination. As an addition to an already very colorful playfield as it is, the effect is very subtle, yet very fitting and appropriate.

F-I-L-M insert lights are illuminated subtle green going together with the whole Creature green theme and furthering the effect of the ramps and bowl, as well as the translite, playfield, backbox cabinet sides artwork, lower cabinet sides artwork and everything else in between.

You can see the video on the right side showing all the modifications done and how they work in the game itself tying successfuly into the whole Drive-In movie theater theme and actualy adding to the overal visual experience.

Chickmaster Corporation asked TXPinball for assistance with their advertising and marketing efforts. They approached us to design and customize 2 pinball machines for them bearing a lot of Chickmaster advertising, logo and design elements and incorporate them into 2 identical commercial pinball machine, like we sell through our website. So, we said yes, why not...

We don't have any pinball machines with chickens on them, ha, ha, but we had 2 Fish Tales, and they fit the theme nicely with their light-hearted humor, great quotes and excellent pinball action, so it was "close enough". These machines will be on every trade show they attend from now on, entertaining their clients and customers in the Chickmaster floor booths.

A customer asked TXPinball for assistance with their purchase of the Indiana Jones pinball machine from us. They love the theme, they love the artwork, they love how the game ties into the movie, they love almost everything but one thing. Since they have small children, they feel it is inappropriate for them to have to press and look at the WW2 gun (Indy Jones gun) to launch the balls into play. They wanted to purchase the machine only on the condition that the gun be removed and a button be installed in its place. Well, not a problem, anything, just ANYTHING to stop the violence. It's good parenting, we say.

First we removed the good, ole Indy Jones gun

Then we did some measuring, printed a low quality decal to get a feel for it. We ordered a 2 inch diameter button, as well

Then, we cut the crappy decal to size to cover the shape of the gun base. Also, using, a secret space-age technology sticky tape and made sure it fits

Then, we cut the hole for the switch and bulb wires to go inside the cabinet

After all the measuring and messing around, we installed a high quality decal custom made then installed the button. Using schematics, we then added a diode, connectors and wires and wired the button into the game. We then clearcoated and buffed the area to make it undistinguishable from the rest of the cabinet

That was it. You can play the video to see the game coming to life and a "Give Peace A Chance" button in action. We should have added the hippy Peace Sign decal to the button, but we forgot.

For our customers with smaller children that may be concerned about such things, we can gladly remove display messages installed and embedded into the software from the factory for USA market (they run during the attract mode when the machine is not being played). Examples of those messages are: "Say No To Drugs", "AIDS" messages and so forth.
